  • Version 3.4  released on 07/04/2012 - bug fix release.
  • Version 3.3 released on 15/02/2012 - This is a stable release with an experimental graphical interface.

NETCARBENCH releases

  • Version 3.4 has been released on 07/04/2012 - it fixes a bug with gateway generation and offers new configuration option for gateway. Also, a new option of jitter is introduced where only a subset of frames (e.g., 10%) have jitters. Sample files have been updated to more realistic parameters. Graphical version remains linked with 3.3. 

  • Version 3.3 has been released on 15/02/2012 - it fixes a minor bug in 3.2 (difference between documentation and code for bus data rate). An experimental graphical version based on Qt is provided for Windows.   

  • Version 3.2 has been released on 31/01/2012 - It provides significant coherence improvements over 3.1. Minor format changes in the input and output files and complete update of the documentation. The sample files that are provided are now more in line with the current practices of the automotive domain in terms of network data rate and network load. Note that the generation of signals, that can be useful in the design of FlexRay networks has been temporarily removed (you can resort to V2.2 for that purpose).
  • Version 3.1 has been released on 04/11/2011 - This is a bugfix release of 3.0 (fixed: same frame can be forwarded on the same gateway twice, same frame can be forwarded back and forth). Minor format changes in the output files: offsets of forwarded frames are no more specified on the target network. Small improvements in the documentation (update V3.x format example).
  • Version 3.0 has been released on 14/10/2011 - Gateways are now supported, frame jitters can be specified, code has been refactored. Caveat: compatibility with RTaW-Sim and NETCAR-Analyzer is broken till new releases of these tools.

  • Version 2.2 has been released on 19/07/2011 - The main new feature is that the outgoing frame queueing policy at the ECU level can now be specified or randomly generated (between Fifo and prioritized). The seed of the random generator can be set on the command line so as to be able to reproduce experiments.

  • Version 2.1 has been released on 07/07/2011 - Code has been re-structured (introduction of Frame and Ecu classes) to ease future extensions. The main new feature is that output format has been updated to be compatible with the NETCAR-Analyzer xml input format, so you can perform worst-case response time analysis directly on the generated xml files. Besides, RTaW-Sim can directly import NETCARBENCH generated files, so you can also simulate and perform fault injection on your network.

  • Version 2.0 has been released on 28/01/2008 - bug fixes, a new feature is that signal/frame sets having offsets and deadlines can now be generated.

  • Version 1.0 has been released in 2007.
